Snow and ice warnings are in place across the country. Falls are common, particularly in older people. If you or someone else falls, try to stay calm. Take a couple of minutes to check for any pain or injuries and see if you think you can get up. If they need further help, call 111 or 999. For more information, read this article

Pharmacy First Programme

Patients can now get treatment for seven common conditions directly from their local pharmacy, without the need for a GP appointment or prescription. The Pharmacy First scheme was launched by the government and NHS England on 31 January 2024 to give patients quick and accessible care and ease pressure on GP services.

Diabetes Eye Day

Residents in Warrington are invited to a free drop-in event at Golden Square on Friday 30 January to learn more about diabetic eye screening, book appointments and receive support with online services.

Diabetes Remission Event

We hosted a highly successful Diabetes Remission Information Event highlighting the NHS Momenta Type 2 Diabetes Path to Remission Programme. Patients learned about the 12-month, evidence-based approach using low-calorie meal replacements, food reintroduction and health-coach support to help achieve remission and improve long-term health.
