Routine Breast Screening
Posted or Updated on 15 May 2025
Women registered at Latchford Medical Centre aged between 50 and up to their 71st birthday will shortly be invited for their routine breast screening. This important health check plays a vital role in the early detection of breast cancer and is offered every three years as part of the NHS Breast Screening Programme.
Screening appointments will be conducted at the Bath Street Health & Wellbeing Centre, located on Legh Street, Warrington, WA1 1UG.
Early detection through routine screening can significantly improve treatment outcomes, and all eligible women are strongly encouraged to attend their appointment when invited.
Women aged over 71, who are not routinely invited for screening, can still access this vital service by self-referring. To do this, please contact the Breast Screening Unit directly.
If you have any concerns or would like further information about your appointment, support is available. You can reach the team by calling 01925 275500, visiting the website at www.whsthkbss.nhs.uk, or emailing whh.bsteam@nhs.net.
Latchford Medical Centre encourages all eligible patients to attend their screening and prioritise their breast health.
