Collecting your prescription
- Repeat prescriptions are for long-term medicines and given at the doctor’s discretion.
- Please allow 2 working days (48 hours) before collecting.
- Allow extra time for weekends and bank holidays.
- You can provide a stamped, addressed envelope to have it posted.
- Some pharmacies can order and collect for you – ask your local pharmacy.
Nominating a pharmacy
- We offer Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) – prescriptions can be sent directly to your chosen pharmacy.
- Some medicines cannot be sent this way – ask reception.
Medication reviews
We may ask you to book a routine appointment to review your medicines.
Questions about your medicines
- Your pharmacist can answer questions about your prescription or over-the-counter medicines.
- They can also help with minor illnesses like coughs, colds, sore throats, tummy issues, and aches.

- Many are open late and at weekends – no appointment needed.
- Most have a private consultation room and can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:
- Aches and pains
- Coughs
- Colds
- Sore throats
- Tummy trouble
- They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.
