Getting You the Right Care
Posted or Updated on 4 Nov 2025
At Latchford Medical Centre, we understand that every patient and every health concern is unique — and that’s why all our appointment requests are triaged by our GPs.
This means all requests are carefully reviewed by Dr Palmer, Dr Unwin, Dr Davies or Dr Wong to make sure you’re seen by the most appropriate clinician, in the right time frame.
You can now make both routine and urgent appointment requests online through our website.
🕒 Routine requests are for non-urgent matters such as medication reviews, ongoing health issues, or general check-ups.
⚡ Urgent requests are for problems that can’t wait for a routine appointment but are not medical emergencies.
Please remember that we’re not an Urgent Care Centre or an Emergency Service — if you have a serious injury, broken bone, severe bleeding or chest pain, you should contact NHS 111 or 999 immediately.
For those who aren’t confident using the online system, you’re very welcome to come into the Practice from 8 a.m. to complete a simple paper request form. These can be handed in until all appointments for the day have been allocated, usually by midday.
If you prefer, you can also call the Practice, and one of our friendly Care Coordinators will review your situation and advise you on the best next step.
We also display this information clearly on our website and within the Practice, so that everyone knows how to request help safely and efficiently.
By triaging all requests, we can ensure that every patient gets the care they need, when they need it — helping us to keep our community healthy and well, together.
